This explains what information Worth Plotting LLC collects, why, and what you can do about it. We've written it plainly on purpose.
WHAT WE COLLECT
WHEN YOU TAKE THE QUIZ:
Your name, your email address, and your answers. Your answers determine your result and are stored with your record so we can send you relevant material.
WHEN YOU JOIN OUR EMAIL LIST:
Your name and email address.
WHEN YOU BUY SOMETHING:
Your name, email, billing information, and purchase history. Payment card details go directly to our payment processor — we never see or store them.
WHEN YOU JOIN THE COMMUNITY:
Your profile information and anything you choose to post.
WHEN YOU BOOK A CALL:
Your name, email, scheduling information, and anything you share on the intake form, including documents you upload.
WHEN WE EMAIL YOU:
Our email platform records whether you opened an email, whether you clicked a link, and technical information such as approximate location and device type. This is standard for email platforms and it's on by default. We use it to understand what's useful and what isn't.
WHEN YOU VISIT THE SITE:
Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit.
We may also use website analytics services — for example, Google Analytics — to understand how visitors find and use the site. These services set cookies and collect information such as which pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location, and the type of device and browser you're using. We use this to make the site better, not to identify you personally.
WHY WE COLLECT IT
- To deliver what you asked for — your quiz result, your emails, your program access.
- To process purchases and provide support.
- To send you relevant material about Worth Plotting, until you tell us to stop.
- To understand what's working, so we can make better material.
- To meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your information. We never have and we don't plan to.
WHO ELSE TOUCHES IT
We use third-party services to run this business, and your information passes through some of them. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Our email and checkout platform, which stores your contact record, sends your emails, and processes purchases.
- Our quiz platform, which collects your answers and result.
- Our community platform, which hosts the Worth Plotters community and courses.
- Our scheduling platform, for booking calls.
- Our payment processor, which handles card details.
- Website analytics services, if in use.
- Automation tools that pass information between the above.
We share only what those services need in order to work. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep your information while you're a subscriber or member, and afterwards for as long as we need it for legitimate business and legal reasons — records of purchases, for example, have to be kept for tax purposes.
YOUR CHOICES
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. It's always there and it always works.
COOKIES
Our site and the services we use may set cookies to make things work and to understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some things may not work properly if you block them.
CHILDREN
Worth Plotting is for adults. Our services aren't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
SECURITY
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and we work with established providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
CHANGES
We may update this policy. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
